We need HELP! From an Interior Designer. Master Bedroom Refresh.

Our house needs to feel like our home. (Part 3)

My clients had purchased a new build. The move happened really quickly as the property was ready. So they moved in during November without any window treatments. They had engaged with a high street company that offered a design service with supply make and fit. They also pulled together some accessories, but there was still a lot to do to change their house into a home.

My clients loved the colours of the lampshades which were next to the bed. So that’s where we started. Replacing the white roman blind with a Venetian blind also added a different look and feel to the room, with also its privacy aspects. They wanted the furniture to be more noticeable, but still to keep a relaxing feel to the room.

So selecting a Laura Ashley wallpaper for the feature wall behind the bedhead. Coordinating a Farrow & Ball paint for the other walls. So my wonderful decorator actually completed the tasks for the room which gave the desired effect.

The picture above the bed needed to be replaced as it didn’t sit with the rest of the look and feel of the room. So I selected a picture from John Lewis which gave the room a perfect finish.

So as you can see, it didn’t need everything changing to make my clients fall in love with their new home. Just a few simple tweaks.
